assallammu alaikum,
mashaAllah i just found your blog the other day and i'm loving it. you two are very talented with your cooking and presentation of the food mashaAllah.
i have a question - when you list qaimar as an ingredient do you mean something like qashta or like labna?
do you mind me asking which country you are from? i am originally from iraq and i know qaimar is something iraqis eat but i just dont know what exactly it is because i never lived there - but i had never heard other arabs refer to it so thats why i was wondering where you are from.
thanks for sharing the lovely recipes!
sincerely,
umm hudhaifah

umm hudhaifah,
Thank you so much for your beautiful comment.
qaimar:is (thick Iraqi cream)and we use it alot in arabic gulf area ,you can substitute it with cream,It's Similar to qashta but qaimar taste better,we qrew up eating it with cake & on braed with honey or jam.
I don't mind at all you can ask any question,we are from Saudi Arabia & all my Friends in College are iraqis so they have a special place in my heart.

Gloria,
Thank you.

Hey, I came across your website recently and some of the recipies you have here remind me of the few years I spend in Oman. one thing I long for after coming to the US is beef or mutton kabab made in the traditional gulf way. I will greatly appreciate it if you could share the recipe with me :) thanks
