2 packet spring roll sheets

Sherah (sugar syrup):
1 cup sugar.
1/4 cup water.
1/4 cup rose water.
1 teaspoon ground cardamom.
Pinch of saffron threads (crushed).

1)To make syrup: combine all ingredients in medium pan. Stir over low heat without boiling, until sugar is dissolved, simmer, uncovered, without stirring about 5 minutes or until syrupy.

2)Layer sheet, brushing half the sheet with syrup roll up like a Swiss roll to enclose.(seal the end with syrup).

3)Place on baking sheet, bake in 300 F oven until browned lightly.
Serve with Arabic Gulf coffee or cardamom tea.

What a lovely recipe. I usually have extra wrappers after making lumpia (Filipino spring rolls). I will try this next time! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

These look amazing! Do you normally use the rice or tapioca wrappers, or the wrappers that're more like for egg rolls?

we used Chinese Spring roll (vegan without egg),you can use Spring roll that contains eggs.
give it a try ... I'm sure you will love it :D
