Hi everyone,

I apologize for not blogging for along time,& sorry to all SUBSCRIBERS for the last email it's was by mistake.

It's so clear from the title that there is no recipe for today,it's about "Plagiarism" .
I just sick of it & I'll not say anything about it because I already explained my view of the matter & so many blogger have written about it .

It's the fourth time that happen to us ... so two word to the one who stole the photos : shame on you.
My advice to you just do something better with your life other than
stealing other people work.

My advice to all dear respectable foodie blogger be aware & make sure to write about it (that will make plagiarist think twice before stealing your content)

The bottom line is:
1) You can use our recipes with permission & if you use any recipe link back to the recipe on this blog.

2)You not allowed to Copy, Duplicate,Reproduce, Distribute, Republish or Commercially exploit any of our photos or any piece of our photos.
No themes no modifications ...etc
Be respectable & respect our rights.

The
stolen photo from here, here & here ...

& here are the links :

Link 1 ,
Link 2 , Link 3, Link 4 , Link 5 & Link 6 ....

I am sorry this happened to you. I have had this happen several times before, and it is never a fun thing to deal with!

Sorry to hear and see that. SO How can we stop that from happening? I think there is nothing more irritating and upsetting than seeing someone steal your hard work and take all the credict for it

You can report about it to Google.

I understand how you feel. The same thing happened too many times to me too :(

Those people are terrible.

Subhannallaah, that is horrible! Don't worry, Be patient, and turn to Allaah. People either just don't care or are totally uncouth. You have a wonderful site and are in my du'as.

I am so sorry that you had to go through this. What a shame that other people can be so underhanded. I have seen this happen with other friends too. One friend now starts her posts with "from the kitchen of.." just to try to combat it.

Yasmeen said...

It's annoying to see this happening more often ,the website is making free money of others hard work.Hope they respond and remove the stolen work.

Salam Alaikum ;)

So sorry to hear about that! me too going through that, but inshallah the girl who took my photo is reasonable and will comply with my request...there is a website called "Statcounter" that you can use to apply to your blog and you can find out where exactley this person is bloggin from and complain to the proper authority there....even just telling that person who stole your work that you know thier exact address might help to make them take down your work from thier page inshallah.....

Keep up the good work :)

Taste of Beirut,
Thanks.

Sultana,
Thank you.

Dimah,

messo,
Thanks :( yup so stupid....

Tasty Eats At Home,
I find out thought out the google ads I place on my blog (can you believe it )
I tried to connect the admin of the website more than once & they don't respond :(
Thank you for your comment....

Plagiarism! Story of my life. Unfortunately it is so common!

Unfortunately also, things like recipes cannot be patented, but photos? If you find a way of protecting your work, please let me know. Some one stole my profile once, word for word and dot for dot, and the funny thing is I removed it so it does not get stolen. I guess a week was too long. Gone and discovered that it was plagiarized quite by conincidence. Although MSN was ready to get after them, I let it go even though, it did upset me for a long time, but what can one do? Plagiarism will always be there, and unless you have a legal way to stop it, expect it and don’t be upset when it happens. I know, easier said than done, but what else CAN you do really?

Laylakaf

P.S. Just out of curiosity, why would comments have to be approved by the blog author?

I am so sorry that thhis happened to you too. It so common on the net to "steal" pics from others, but, my dear - on the optimistic side - please see it as a compliment to your skillfullness and talent - "Islamu Ideik" (I hope I said it right...)- may your hands be blessed

Pity said...

it really is a shame, there should a blog police of somewhere you can report thses things, or boicot these sites, i dont know something to be done! really really nasty people!

Janice said...

sorry to hear that, definitely not cool what that website did. We work hard so that other people can enjoy the work we do, they should do the favor and give us the full credit by just linking it back. It's not a hard task to do.

yeah this is getting worse day by day. So sorry that it happened to you.

can you try putting a watermark on your photos? i know if you upload them, even privately, on deviantart.com, it will give you that option. or you can use an editing software like picnik.com
hope that helps

I didn't read through all the comments so far, but you can use Copyscape. They also have recommendations on how to deal with it once you've been plagiarized:

Bismillaah

Assalaamu Alaikum!

The best way to take care of it is to go to those sites and demand they place links to your site for stealing your material. Tell them to link back to you or to delete your recipes. I wish you the best.

Assalamu Alaikum!

I just finished the comments. You know you can report them to Google if they also display Google ads. And you can report them to their dns domain name server. I suggest you do both. Don't let them steal from you. I have had so many sites take my conversion story and edit it without my permission and it's so annoying. May Allah ease your pain and bless you with patience and justice.

Put a copyright notice on your blog now. Say this is copyrighted, do not copy and paste, do not right click and save.

@Sultana Great LINK!!! Totally Awesome I love it. Thanks ;)

Too bad!

This is natural on blogs, some people pretending want to be even they're not the one.

Pretending their own work even they didn't do anything except copying, duplicating, etc.

Watch out for it guys! Watch your content same as your photos on your blogs!

To the people who did this "GET YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!".

If I copy (never here)I provide credit and a link, but it does not happen often, I'm always tracking to see if my images are being used elsewhere, its not easy, my content? Please help yourself, as long as you credit me and are not taken for profit or use on a profit making website. http://rozinbrittany.blogspot.com/
It would also be nice if people would contact me and tell me where they have used my content
Finally the images and content must not be altered cropped or adapted in anyway.

You can write the webmaster/owner and threaten legal action and request immediate removal of your recipes/work. Send several emails or certified letters this will usually work yank the article or recipe down. Sadly, they can change one or two ingredients and pawn it off as their own. Unfortunately this happens all the time and you can even find more of your work by using COPYSCAPE to look up some of your work. This happened to me plenty of times as I write articles for a living. In fact some where published in other countries. Your blog posts are proof of your date of publishing your recipe. Even though it is sad we miss you!!!

I, too, have had my content stolen, so I understand how you feel.

This is the first time I've seen your blog, and I love it. I came here from a recipe you posted on thefreshload. Keep doing what you're doing and try to ignore the cheaters.
